Positions & P&L
Two questions every trader needs answered instantly: what's at risk right now? and how am I actually doing? The Positions & P&L window answers both — live exposure marked to current prices, and (on Pro) your full performance history, charted and filterable.
Who can use it
Current positions plus full historical P&L — broken down by day, week or month, by exchange and by market type, with a P&L-over-time chart and date-range filters.
Today's net P&L figure in the main window's right rail, and the current positions view — every open position, marked to live prices.
Current positions
One row per open position, per exchange: the selection, your net stance, and unrealised P&L marked to the live price. The unrealised figure is defined as exactly what a Trade Out would lock in right now — so the number you monitor and the number you can act on are always the same number.
Performance history (Pro)
- Open the Positions & P&L window from the menu.
- Pick a date range and a grouping — day, week or month.
- Filter by exchange or market type to see where your edge actually is (and isn't).
- Read the chart: the line every trader wants sloping up and to the right, honestly plotted either way.
Historical depth varies by exchange: Betfair and Matchbook provide rich, date-ranged settlement data; Betdaq and Smarkets expose less through their public interfaces, so history for those exchanges may be more limited. Current positions and today's figures are live everywhere. The exchange guides cover the differences.
Review by market type monthly — most traders discover one category quietly funds the rest. Check exposure before every in-play session, not after. And treat unrealised P&L as real: it's the price of your position now, not a hope for later.
