Connecting your exchanges
BetTrading.net trades through your own accounts at the exchanges. This page covers connecting each one, what Primary and Augmenting mean, and how to manage connections once you're up and running.
Who can use it
Connect as many of the available exchanges as you like, simultaneously. Multiple connections unlock cross-provider price routing and order broadcasting.
Connect one exchange at a time. The remaining slots on the connections screen show a gentle reminder that more connections come with an upgrade to Pro — switching exchange is always possible by removing one connection and adding another.
The connections screen
It appears after every sign-in, and any time from the menu via Services → Manage Services. Each row shows the service, its connection state (a labelled indicator — Connected, Connecting, Failed or Disconnected) and its role (Primary or Augmenting).
Adding a connection
- Click Add.
- Pick the exchange from the drop-down and enter that exchange's own sign-in credentials. BetTrading.net uses them to authenticate with the exchange and never stores your password.
- Click Connect. If the exchange rejects the details you'll see "The username or password you entered is invalid."; if it can't be reached you'll see "Couldn't reach the service — check your connection and try again."
What each exchange needs

Primary and Augmenting
Exactly one connected service is Primary at any time — it's the exchange your bets go to unless you deliberately route or broadcast them elsewhere. Every other connection is Augmenting: its prices feed comparison, best-price highlighting and broadcasting.
Your first connection becomes Primary automatically. To change roles, right-click a row:
- Promote — make this service Primary (the old Primary becomes Augmenting).
- Demote — hand Primary to the longest-standing other connection.
- Disconnect — sign out of the service but remember it (and your username) for quick reconnection.
- Remove — forget the service entirely, including the saved username.
Make your most liquid exchange Primary — it's where your one-click bets go by default. Keep the others connected as Augmenting even on quiet days: best-price highlighting only helps when the comparison prices are flowing. Reconnecting a disconnected service pre-fills your username, so switching machines or sessions is quick.
