Betdaq trading software

Trading software for Betdaq, on Windows

A desktop trading screen built for Betdaq: live ladders, one-click betting and a trade-out button that does the arithmetic for you. Connect your own Betdaq account, keep your money where it is, and trade from a screen designed for it rather than a betting slip.

Why traders use Betdaq

Keen commission, and a long history

Betdaq has been running since the early days of exchange betting and has kept its commission structure competitive throughout. For a trader taking many small positions, the rate you pay on winnings is not a detail — it is most of the difference between a strategy that works and one that does not.

A real following in UK and Irish racing

Racing is where Betdaq is strongest, and where its markets form earliest. If your trading is built around the hour before a race, this is an exchange worth having open.

Prices that are genuinely its own

Betdaq is not a mirror of the biggest exchange. Its prices move on its own money, which is precisely what makes watching more than one exchange worth doing — the gap between two order books is information, and sometimes it is an opportunity.

Where Betdaq is weaker

Betdaq is smaller than the market leader, and in some markets that shows: outside its strongest racing and football markets you will meet thinner order books, wider spreads and positions that take longer to fill. That is the honest trade for the commission, and it is why the size you can trade matters more here than the strategy you use.

What the application gives you

Ladder view

The whole order book on one vertical scale, with money at each price and your own orders in place among it. Click a price to bet at it.

One-click trading out

Close a position at the current price in a single press, with the stake worked out for you rather than in your head while the market moves.

Positions and profit or loss

What you stand to win or lose on every outcome, updating as prices move, so you always know where you are before you take the next position.

Automation rules

Set the price that closes a position or caps a loss and let the application watch it. Rules can place the bet or simply tell you.

Betdaq and Smarkets both connect on the Pro plan, on one screen. Two order books side by side is a better picture of a market than either alone, and when both will take your bet, the application sends it to whichever is offering the better price.

Betdaq questions, answered

Do I need my own Betdaq account?

Yes. BetTrading.net is the screen you trade on, not a betting operator. You sign up with Betdaq directly, your money stays in your Betdaq account, and we never hold it or take a share of what you win.

Is there a free way to use it with Betdaq?

Yes. The Basic plan is free and stays free, and it connects one exchange — so you can trade Betdaq on the full application without paying anything. Pro is what adds the second exchange alongside it, with price routing between them.

What do I need before I can trade?

A funded Betdaq account, API access enabled on it, and Windows 10 or 11. The application walks you through connecting the account the first time you sign in.

Does it work on a Mac?

Not natively — the application is a Windows desktop program, for Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. It runs on a Mac under virtualisation, but that is not a configuration we support.

Before you start

Trading on an exchange is a skill, and like any skill it is learned by doing it badly first. Start with stakes you have genuinely decided you can lose, treat the first few sessions as practice rather than income, and read our beginner's guide to bet trading if any of the vocabulary on this page was new.

Trading involves risk and BetTrading.net never promises profits. 18+ only.
